Cage nut includes nut in a spring steel cage which wraps around the nut. Standard cage has two wings that when mounted in the square or rectangular hole the cage stays in place while the captive nut can move within the cage to permit assembly, due to its elasticity and design, it can be used with a wide range of panel thicknesses.

Manufacture Process
- Square Nuts: By cold forming and thread tapping.
- Assembly: Stamping process by progressive tool then tumble to de-burr.
Surface Finish
- Heat Treatment: Thermal Refining, Carburizing, Neutralizing.
- Plating: Bright Nickel, Black Nickel, Trivalent Blue Zinc, Trivalent Yellow Zinc, Trivalent Black Zinc, Black Oxide, Phosphate, Bronze, Anodize, ED-Coating, Dacromet, Powder Coating, Zinc-Nickel Alloy, Passivate, Tin, Chromium, Hot Dip Galvanize, Geomet, Etc.
Packing
- Bulk, plastic bags, plastic trays or bubble bags in export cartons or according to buyer's requests, then palletized.
Applications
- Cage Nuts are applied when assembling can only be done from one single side. The square nut is adjustable to align hole position. Square cage design can fix the nut position from spinning.
